Are you interested in how your body fights the flu? Every time you get a shot at the doctor’s office you are using what a biomedical scientist created! A biomedical scientist works to figure out how the human body works. They also work to create cures for diseases by developing new vaccines. Without biomedical scientists, our bodies would have a difficult time fighting off new diseases.

Medical Illustrators
A medical illustrator draws and records biological knowledge in a simple or complex way, so everyone can understand it. These illustrations can be found in textbooks, surgical simulations, or even virtual reality. Medical illustrators must be very good at drawing and creative enough to figure out how to draw an extremely complex thing (our bodies!) so that all can understand it.

Sports Team Physician
Are you interested in both sports and science? An Athletic Team Doctor travels with the team and helps out athletes if they are injured or sick. Athletic Team Doctors must always be present on the sidelines of games in case an injury occurs. These doctors must look out for the athlete and work to make them as healthy as possible as quickly as possible so they can resume playing.
