Who are we?
Hi and welcome to Science Scoop, our program to ignite an interest in science among middle school students. We offer this website, an Instagram filled with fun science-related facts, and an interactive, in-person program that includes a quiz to help students identify science-related careers that match their current interests.
Our names are Makenzie Vovan and Violet Yoshida, and we took over this non-profit organization founded by Lexie Howell and Isabel Gomez in order to spread our passion for science to younger students who may not have exposure to other career paths. In our free time, we both love to go to the beach, camp, hike, and travel to explore our beautiful planet. We enjoy working with young kids and love to see them become inspired. We want to share our love of knowledge with others.
